Radial Bladed Centrifugal Fans (RB)

Sizes range from 12" (305mm) up to 102" (2600mm). These fans are generally used for material handling or when the fan is positioned on the dirty side of a dust collector. Due to the characteristics of the impeller, they are known to be easily repaired if breakdown occurs.

High Pressure Centrifugal Fans (HP)

High pressure fans have a radial bladed type impeller as well. These fans are used for high pressure applications such as combustion fans or air knife systems. Its characteristics is large in diameter and very narrow, as it will produce a low volume of air at high pressure. Impeller diameter range from 12" (305mm) to 102" (2600mm) in series HP-1 up to HP-7.

Backward Inclined Centrifugal Fans (BI)

Unlike the above HP impeller, the BI impeller is much wider with a larger inlet diameter. This characteristic enables the fan to produce a lot more air at a relatively high pressure. These fans are widely used in industry for example wet spray booths where a higher quantity of air is required to exhaust toxic paint fumes. BI impellers range from 12" (305mm) to 102" (2600mm) in series BI-1 to BI-4.

Backward Inclined Airfoil Centrifugal Fans (BIA)

Due to the BIA airfoil blade design, rather than the laminar blade of a BI, it has the ability of running at higher tip speeds, thus its higher efficiency. This fan is used in similar applications as the BI fan. The series of sizes are identical to the backward inclined range.

Forward Curved - Multivane Centrifugal Fans (MVA)

The multivane fan is by no means a materials handling fan, as its characteristics is to produce large amounts of air at extremely low pressure. These fans are commonly used in industry for recirculation of hot air within a furnace or oven. This design is also used in exhaust air application. Morse Air Systems manufacture these fans using heavy materials, both in mild steel, and stainless steel. Incoloy 800H is also used for higher temperature applications (between 500 and 650 degrees c).

Tubeaxial Fans (TA)

Tubeaxial fans are designed in both belt drive and direct drive units. These fans are ideal for exhausting applications where compact installations are required and where straight through flow is desired.

Low Noise Fans

Morse Air Systems through its sister company also offer a complete low noise solution. Morse Low Noise Fans has been supplying electric motor and gearbox manufacturers with low noise air cooling modifications for over 25 years.
The benefits include:
  • Lower noise
  • Improved efficiency
  • Reduced environmental impact or to meet OHAS regulations
  • Constant cooling for variable speed motors
  • Split fans for easy replacement
  • Designs for aggressive environments
  • Retrofit to existing motors
  • A universal fan that runs in either direction
